Simple Machines

Levers, ramps and pulleys are all simple machines.

 A lever uses a rigid bar and a fulcrum to lift objects.

An inclined plane or ramp is used to move objects up and down different levels. A pulley uses a wheel and a rope to lift heavy objects.

A screw is an inclined surface around a shaft.

Our English teacher assitant has been doing story telling with some of the children during this week.

Theatre Role Play - London Restaurant

Along this month we have been making a funny role play in our english lessons with Sam.

It was a restaurant where waiters had to take orders, give them to chef, serve the food and then the customs had to complain!

"There's a fly in my soup!"

"My food arrived late!"

"It was cold!" 

etc..

The manager had to solve the problem. The boss of the restaurant had to step in and ask what the problem was (chef and waiters blame each other: "it's chef's fault" etc...). It was a kind of a comedy but finally... free desserts for everyone! and they were all friends!

Mother's Day cards

With relation to Mother's Day we didn't want to miss the opportunity to make some beautiful cards for our loving mums! Our English Assitant helped us to do them!

The European Union

Along last month we had been studying The European Union, the different countries that belong to it, the symbols of the EU, the flag... many different features that help us understand the role of the EU in a better way.

As a sum up activity we made the MAP project that you can see in the following pictures!
