The main aim of this blog is to show the families of our school some of the projects we make both in English and Science, as well as the different festivities related to English speaking countries. We also show some useful resources for children, parents and teachers.

Playing and learning
Today I'd like to show you a different way of revising the unit and making sentences. Instead of using pencil and paper or children's notebook try to use colourful cards in which they can write and erase easily. These are made of cardboard of different colours and laminated.
Children like playing with them and they are easily wiped off!!

Happy Easter Cards!
During last week, all the children of our school have been making some beautiful Easter cards for their parents. Sam Chappell, our assistant that helps the children with speaking and pronunciation, made a great work with the children!

April Fools' Day
El 1 de abril se conoce en Inglaterra y América como April Fools' Day. Es el equivalente al Dia de los Santos Inocentes en España.

April Fools' Day
It is celebrated in many countries around the world.
We don't know the exact origin of this celebration but we believe that it has to do with a change in the calendar.
It is believed that it started in France when Pope Charles IX changed the calendar to go with the Roman calendar. Until 1582 in France the New Year was celebrated on April 1st, so with the change in the calendar the New Year began to be celebrated on January 1st. But some people didn't know about the change and they still celebrated the New Year on April 1st so they began to be called "April Fools".
In Scotland April Fools' Day is called Hunt-the-Gowk Day.
Although customs change from one place to another, April Fools' Day is mainly a day of pranks and jokes.
Watch the following video and you'll know more about April Fools' Day:
