Fruits & vegetables

In last unit we studied fruits and vegetables and the teacher of Grade 3 showed the children how to make a FRUIT AND VEGETABLES BOOK, these are the pictures that show the result!

ESL is cooperation!

Cooperative work is very important when learning English as a second language, that is the reason why we made the following game:

The game is quite simple: sitting in pairs on the floor face to face, the teacher asks a question about the topic she wants to focus in and children need to anwer as many answers as possible...

For example:

The teacher asks: What can I see?
The children answer: I can see a plane, I can see a teddy...

The town

The new unit in Grade 3 is going to deal with the town and the most important buildings we can see in it.

To introduce new vocabulary and grammar for the children the teachers of third grade made the following colourful cards and played with the children so that they could guess the vocabulary before looking it on the book:

Atoms (2nd part)

Children love creating all sort of different things! So all of them made more projects about atoms! These are the final pictures:

The children of our school are studying in Grade 5 how the Circulatory System works...

Sight & Hearing

In Science 3 we are studying the senses and our teacher showed us a couple of mockups about the eye and the ear!

We've been working on the sense organs with pictures and mockups during this morning and we learnt a lot!

Atoms

 MATTER is made of very small particles called atoms and this morning we have reproduced those atoms in our Science lesson!

The senses songs

Practice the vocabulary about the senses with the following songs:

The Senses

The senses give us information about the world around us. 

Smell helps us identify pleasant and unpleasant smells. Are these things pleasant or unpleasant? What do you think?

                                                 

Taste allows us to identify salty, sweet, sour or bitter food. Guess which one goes with each picture!

                       

Touch helps us to know if something is smooth or rough or difference between hard and soft.
